Hello everyone! This is Geoff; I'm excited to move through 4 modules with you over the course of about 4 months that cover a deeper understanding of our own art, as well as cultivating the central message we want to deliver to the world to ease a problem we want to address
It begins with setting a regular time to meet. My best options are Monday or Thursday evenings, sometime between 5pm-7:30PM; please let me know if that time from could work I would like to meet at my poetry venue, the Stanza, located at 15 N Westmoor. A major part reason for that is I'd like to produce our discussions with audio/video to document our process for others to learn from in the future, and my equipment is located there.
Let me know if this would be feasible for you all when you have a moment; talk soon!
Looking forward to learning/creating with everyone. I’ve been writing poetry for 5-6 years now. I’ve been doing open mics lately getting a feel back for performing and prepping to publish some work of mine.
I write, but memorizing is getting much harder at my age. Hence, performance anxiety.
Welcome to the first Twenty Twenty Six Fifty Thousand Cohort! Here we'll be discussing logistics as well giving status updates and more in relation to the program. Keep an eye here for the latest information
Thursday is best, but I can make either work. The closer to 5pm the better. I am super excited to be here.
Poetry has been my lifeline since 7th grade. Having a place to put my heartbreak has literally saved my life.
I started working on my M.A. in creative writing with a focus in poetry, but I didn’t finish. I love the craft. I don’t know or remember what all the fancy terms mean in the world of academia, but I know what I feel in my heart.
Looking forward to learning and growing with you all!
Trina
