Home For Poetry

Columbus has had art galleries for painters, theaters for drama, studios for photographers,  stages for musicians, and even a foundry for metal workers .

Now, there is a space dedicated to poets.

What's
Here?

The Stanza is an intimate space for workshops, readings, meetings, and performances. Audiences are limited to ~12 seats, and standing only room can hold 15-20 people. In addition to the stage area, there is a large whiteboard for instruction and classes.

As a strong believer in using media to bring poetry to the world, diVERSES has equipped the Stanza with a stage microphone and speaker, a two-camera setup and recording microphones, and lighting. The room can also serve as a podcast studio when the record store next door, The Kutt, is closed (typically Mondays, Tuesdays, before 12PM weekdays, and some evenings after 7PM).

The Stanza is also able to livestream and host webinars for up to 250 virtual attendees, complete with registration forms.
